Another all-DMax grid, but this time on the normal Alternate layout. This one catapults the karts out of the fast right hand sweeper (The Turn Formerly Known As Turn 1) and all along the top back straight into a monster braking zone. The scary thing is that the DMaxes are pulling just as hard at the end of the straight as the beginning... |
Early days, but most of the usual suspects are at / near the top of the table. As there were no ProKarts on the grid for either Event 1 or 2, there were no chances for a fumbled overtake to claim the scalp of seasoned pro. The new LMP1 / LMP2 format with the slower cars will test the overtaking ability of the drivers more than ever, as the leading driver in the pack will not be able to simple defend for the entire race - there will be some pesky ProKarts to dispatch without ceding places to the ravenous hounds behind. |

easyJet closed the gap slightly to BA, but the World's Favourite Karters are still almost 3 points ahead of the Drivers In Orange... Virgin had only one driver at Event 2, and rules designed to stop Julian walking off with all the silverware mean VS didn't score for this Championship... Bring a friend along There's more to an Airline Karting meeting than just driving. Almost all the circuit can be seen from the decking in front of the clubhouse, and spectators can walk down the side of the circuit for a better view of the infamous Turn 1. The Clubhouse sells a range of snacks and hot and cold drinks, and don't forget the traditional 'Pie & Pint' after the race at the Wheatsheaf Pub overlooking Esher Green. |

The series caters for airline employees based in the south of England, however, we welcome drivers with no connection to the airlines - as long as you don't complain if the talk in the pub afterwards turns to aviation! It may seem from this website that we take this all very seriously. Well, some do... |
But the main aim is to provide full grids and plenty of action to like-minded petrol-heads who want to have some fun. The chronically keen karters will be shooting for the Championship in which your best 4 scores from the 8 events will count, but many casual karters will only attend one or two races in the year. |
